Plastic detection
The plasticpreneur plastic scanner is used to enable rapid sorting, identification, waste audits and educational experiences.
Plastic is placed underneath the Sensor and within seconds the plastic type will be shown on the display.

The NIR scanner can not identify black plastics. Some very thin (< 10 µm) films can also cause issues although most films can be easily identified. Wet and contaminated material needs to be cleaned and dried before scanning.
Getting started
Only a few steps are required to unpack and set up the scanner. The identification process can start immediately after turning on the scanner. A built-in battery allows continuous measurements for up to 6 hours without recharging.
