Desktop Shredder V2
The Desktop Shredder V2 from Sustainable Design Studio is a bench-top plastic shredder built for recycling, prototyping, and education. It converts waste plastic and failed 3D prints into consistent 5mm or 8mm granules ready for injection moulding or extrusion. At 85kg and 77h x 35d x 64w cm, it delivers industrial throughput in a footprint that fits on a workbench.
A 1.5kW motor through a 1:40 worm gearbox delivers high torque at low speed, with 20 kg/hr output on the 8mm mesh. Noise stays at 59 dB idle and 71 to 75 dB operating. The Desktop Shredder V2 is a 220V, 50Hz unit; customers in 110V countries run it from a 2 kW step-up transformer, which can be shared with the Fume Extractor V2.
