Eco Audio

Eco Audio began in March 2020, as we all headed indoors following the first COVID-19 lockdown in the UK. With our outdoor time being limited to just one hour of exercise, my wife and I took the opportunity to stroll around the farmland surrounding our rural village in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. We were shocked and disgusted at the sheer volume of plastic that lined the pathways and immediately began to gather up what we could to put in the recycling bin at home. We did this regularly for a few weeks until we read an article online that said that only a small percentage of the plastic we recycle, actually gets recycled and that a lot of it still ends up in a landfill.

To help keep as much single-use plastic out of our seas, waterways, and landfills, we began to experiment with processing the plastic we collected to repurpose it into something useful. Inspired by our love of music, we began manufacturing 100% recycled audio equipment and accessories, and Eco Audio was born.

We still go litter picking every Sunday (come rain or shine) and the plastic we find, combined with donations from friends, family, and local businesses, is what goes into our products. We ship our items in recycled (and recyclable) card and paper, and thanks to Solar Energy our manufacturing process is now carbon negative.
