A set of eight buttons hand made from 100% recycled ocean rope plastic in our Great Yarmouth workshop.

The rope used to make these buttons was collected in north Norfolk by the Marine Conservation for Norfolk Action Group and this group will receive a donation from the sale of these buttons. The rope was cleaned, shredded and then hand injection moulded in Precious Plastic East’s workshop in Great Yarmouth using a Sustainable Design Studio mould. Shipping within the UK is free. 

The buttons measure 28mm x 5mm. The plastic used is Polypropylene and the way the colours have mixed is unique. The colour is hard to capture in photographs and we would describe it as a dark green with subtle veins of navy blues, blacks and lights greens.

Precious Plastic East is a small coastal plastic recycling workshop that uses small machines to hand make new products from local waste plastic. The organisation is run for purposes rather than profit and is set up as a social enterprise. Buying our products supports our work around plastic education and with local beach clean groups reducing ocean pollution.
