Overview: The simple 6 Shredder is a unique, cost-effective solution. simple to build and can be operated by use of a crank handle, reduced KW motor or torque drill with variable speed and high torque setting allowing the operator to set the RPM or NM requirement.

User-Friendly Assembly:
The simple 6 is designed for easy assembly, similar to IKEA flat-pack furniture. All parts bolt together seamlessly, requiring only basic engineering skills.

Robust Design:
Constructed with 12mm, 10mm, and 6mm steel plate plus a couple of dxf shims, ensuring durability and strength. Spur gears design CNC/plasma or laser cut steel involute design. slide fit dxf designed gears.

Versatile Operation:
Compatible with a variety of motors, including small motors, torque drills, and stepper motors (Nema 42 - 48). Hand ratchet operation with flexible wrench possible. crank handle dxf design included.

Motor: Recommended single-phase 1kW RPM 1800 motor with 30:1 worm gear/gearbox for shaft rotation and excellent torque (180+Nm).

dxf Spur gear Involute gears x 2 - shaft slide fit -17.20mm.

Shaft spacer hex are slide fit.NO WELDING REQUIRED. BOLT TOGETHER DESIGN.

ASSEMBLY
The side and end plates are drilled and screwed together, this is to allow - dismantling the shredder to adjust or sharpen the blades. The holes in these parts are accurately placed to keep everything lined up and it is also important that everything is square and true. 

The end plates are sized 1mm longer than the total stack up of all the blades and spacers to allow for a small amount of clearance and prevent binding (79mm vs 78mm).

The lasercut diameter pockets for the bearings allow a press fit for the bearings. 

The 19mm hex shaft have a sliding fit inside the inner bearing race tolerance fit. Hex spacers and teeth are slide fit as shown in the sketches above. 

surfaces may need cleaning for good fitment of teeth and fixed teeth. involute gear collar is boltyed to the 10mm gear to allow linked rotation.

This simple 6 is fully functional and operational once cut. it is a very simple build and i have included assembly word doc in the zip folder.
