Universal Nozzle (for extrusion or injection)

This nozzle can be used with the extruder or injection machines. It is threaded 1" BSP to match the standard barrel and at the other end it has a male M10 x1.5 metric threaded stub. On to this can be screwed interchangeable die nuts to produce filament of different diameters and also injection moulds with a female threaded M10 hole.

Supplied with 4 die nuts with 2mm, 3mm and 4mm holes and also an undrilled one which is useful for the injection moulder to stop molten plastic running out of the end before you are ready to inject into the mould, or you can drill it to a custom size.

NB: The thread on the end of the nozzle is M10 x 1.5mm (metric standard pitch). If you would like a different size, please contact me.

Hi Yan, thank you for your comment. Yes, I take a lot of care to make sure the parts I supply are high quality.

I can make you an offer on 2 nozzles, but I'm not sure how to do it through the Bazar, perhaps you can send me a private message via the forum?: https://davehakkens.nl/community/members/andyn/

Hi Andy, Good looking nozzle. Can you tell me the female thread, its not listed - its to match what diameter of tube?

Also can you make these up to slightly different dimensions?

cheers,

Ben

Hi Ben, it's 1" BSP to match the thread on the barrel. This is an imperial size and the OD is slightly less than 34mm. However if you're not using the 34mm OD tube I can also thread it to a different size.

Hi Andy,

My tube is 34mm OD so that can be made for 1" - the male thread is 33.249, so its perfect. Do you any nozzles in stock?

best wishes,

Ben

Hello Andy,

We used one of your nozzle on the injection for the PP pilote workshop we are setting in Chile. I noticed the M10 male part has a special thread: 1,5mm whereas the usual bolt are 1.25 mm.

I am a bite disapointed because meanwile some guys PEK in Norway order me one mold to fit with yout nozzle. According to your post, i used a female M10 bolt. I already sent them the mold, but i am scared it won't fit their machine :(

Could you make sure all the injormation are in the post ? And i would be interested to get one of your nozzle but with a regular thread to make my mould with usual m10 bolts, would it be doable ?

Hi Johé,

The thread on the nozzle is M10 x 1.5mm pitch, this is the standard Metric thread and the same as all M10 bolts and fixings, at least here in Europe, I don't know if it is different in Chile? I have sold several of these to people in Norway and there have not been any problems.

There is also a M10x1.25mm size, but this is fine pitch, not standard pitch. I can make the nozzle with this thread instead if you prefer.

I will update the description to include this information.

Regards,

Andy

Ok, mesures seems to be different in chile.

About the mold i did for Norway i used a normal bolt from France so yes should be ok. It's always a bite scary to product something without being able to check if it works.

But yeah i think it is safer to say the thread is 1.5 on the post ;)
