EarthBot was founded in 2023 by husband and wife team Mike and Karis Ward, as a way of combating the issue of the volume of waste plastic increasing in the environment and making the UK responsible for managing its own recycling. Inspired by the Precious Plastic community EarthBot is aiming to create a strong domestic market for recycling plastic in the UK to cut down the practice of shipping our recylate (sorted but not yet processed plastic recycling) overseas. To do this EarthBot has started by collecting recycling from a number of UK sources which they then manufacture into recycled products.
